The main character is a clown who is dreaming of his funeral. He's wondering who is going to say goodbye to him, and [the show] begins with a procession of people paying tribute to him, but he's not really dead.

We wanted to have a human aspect to the circus, people catching each other and throwing each other. It's not technology that's doing it, it's humans that are doing it.

It's a tribute to their character that they just refuse to lose. They know they're not playing as well as they can in a seven-inning game, but when the chips are down, they rely on each other and they're not afraid. They don't believe they're done until the game is over. It's a unique team.
