The looting is out of control. The French Quarter has been attacked. We're using exhausted, scarce police to control looting when they should be used for search and rescue.

I want to convey my condolences to the families of the police officers as well as the civilians for the untimely loss of their loved ones and I want wish the two wounded people a speedy recovery.

(Laci's parents) know it too. They supported him fully until the police misled them and that was to divide and separate him from them.

We're secure, we have phones, we have pure water.... We have sewer, we have garbage pickup, we have more and more stores ready to come on line.

He stays very calm under fire, and he stays very focused. Through all the demands coming at him from different directions, he's stayed very focused on human life.

As far as traffic control, it's a learning curve for us at the Stockton Police Department. It's the first morning event at the arena, and we had the influx using the arena blending with the morning traffic coming to work.
