The kids were running around and gang tackling. They gave up some yardage but made plays. Oxnard made mistakes and we capitalized. I'm really proud of (the defense).

Stuart is very durable. He's little but is one of the hardest workers on the team.

We hadn't done that in the first two weeks. That was really a major point of emphasis during our practices and the kids responded well.

Unfortunately, from our perspective, it came down to where we beat ourselves. You don't want to have base running mistakes and walk guys. That's something we need to talk about. But you've got to give Spring-Ford credit, too.

We kind of let them get back into the game a little bit with errors and base-running mistakes.

We have a lot of young kids and they're going to make some mistakes, but we made just enough plays to win.
