The kids are pretty excited. We had to go into our bylaws to check, but we've got a chance to play for the No.1 seed.

We've been hitting the ball pretty good. And our defense has been a big factor. The best thing about us is that we play as a team. The ones who aren't in the lineup know that they can step in and get a key hit at any time in the game.

We tell our kids if we can keep it in the park, we'll be OK. They're just so good that you just never know. Any of their kids can hit it out of there.

In the second game, our kids just came out fired up and knew this team was a team we could beat, and we'd beat them before.

That's not much, but for this time of year, it's pretty amazing.
