The kids are happy about that. Today's game was ugly, but I guess it's a win ... an ugly win, if there is such a thing. But we'll take it.

We had something to prove to ourselves. The kids stepped up and played hard.

We had some opportunities on Monday, but the ball just wasn't rolling our way. Today, it was totally the opposite.

It was an ugly game all-around. We started with a 12-0 run, and I think the kids kind of slowed down a little bit, thinking it was going to be a blow out.

We felt he would energize a start-up program, just (because) of the way he relates to kids. And the fact that he was trained in start-up programs was a big factor in his selection.

It was ugly. The ball was slippery and we turned it over a bunch, but my kids overcame adversity. I think that's something some teams can never figure out how to do, but they have that quality about them.
