The key is never to skip a year in pruning.

Every year we've been aggressively pruning out the deadwood. That helps a lot. I think we've lost fewer trees in the last five years than in the five before that.

We are going to have to key on (Kyle) Irwin and (Wesley Dickinson). They are a good team, with a pair of really good teams.

Everything seems to be on schedule. We've started the demolition, the pruning and removal of diseased trees, and the contractor is starting the underground utilities and walkway layout.

Truckee, they just reload every year. With them, it's all about the system. The key with Truckee is that they have a real good youth football system up there. The kids they get have all played football before. Those kids can just step into that program and play.

If you can't see through your plant somewhat, then you haven't done enough pruning.
