The Juno was an unknown wreck. Fishing boats were getting caught on it, ripping up pieces of it, coins washing ashore. How can they argue that somehow it was protected in the state that it was in is just ridiculous.

Total devastation. The grand piano was found in the street in 16 pieces. The long-tail [fishing] boats landed in the ground-floor rooms.

Last summer my dad, brother and I went fishing off of Lake Erie. We charted a couple of boats and stayed in cottages on the lake. It felt like the trip was over before it began.

We're not going to untie the boats until we get a reasonable price to go fishing. We love to fish, but you can't keep doing it if it's a losing proposition. We haven't been offered a price that's worth us going fishing for.

They don't own fishing boats or land but often work as workers on others' land.

Clearly there has been additional damage to the wreckage since it was discovered. It hasn't been protected very well. Ultimately, the Park Service is supposed to manage its resources so they've fallen down on the job.
