The Israelis are making a statement that Israel has its own ways and means of defending itself.

They know they are inferior to the U.S. Navy in the Persian Gulf, so this is their way of telling Americans .... we are not the only ones who would lose out if talks regarding the nuclear program fail.

I know everyone saw the pictures coming out of Israel as we took this courageous step. I think we need some time now to be among ourselves. What will happen now with the Sharon government needs international backing and help.

We can forgive the Arabs for killing our children. We cannot forgive them for forcing us to kill their children. We will only have peace with the Arabs when they love their children more than they hate us.

A process that the Israel government ... took upon itself in order to extend our hand in peace to the Palestinians. This is what Israel is willing to do in order to live in peace with the Palestinians.

We do not rejoice in victories. We rejoice when a new kind of cotton is grown and when strawberries bloom in Israel.
