The impact on research could be very serious. The bottom line is that research that benefits both our economy and our national security just won't happen.

The president has already made it clear that he believes it's very important that we make child care safe, more available and more affordable.

In the past, there has always been an exemption for basic research, but the problem here is that that exemption is essentially being set aside. So the issue here is, what are the rules going to be and how difficult for [universities] will it be?

We don't think it should have any impact on our review.
