The idea is to take the most ordinary things and make them extraordinary, as Gerard Manley Hopkins does in his poems.

I just happen to like ordinary things. When I paint them, I don't try to make them extraordinary. I just try to paint them ordinary-ordinary.

Because I'm just an ordinary person that did some extraordinary things.

The main goal in my life is to make extraordinary things out of the ordinary.

You know, heroes are ordinary people that have achieved extraordinary things in life.

And this is what was fascinating to me about 'The Help'; they were ordinary people who did extraordinary things.
