The governor said that this makes the law clear that men and women are entitled to defend themselves, their property and loved ones in extreme situations. This is really a clarification of the right to self-defense in Indiana.

Women see better than men. Men see lazily, if they do not expect to act. Women see quite without any wish to act.

I think on the one hand, women should believe in their own rights as being equal under law to men, but men should also commit themselves to accepting women as equal partners in society. It's going to take time, but it can be done through long-term educational programs in Afghanistan and positive campaign by the press and also with the help of clerics. It requires a long-term struggle with the support of the international community. We women can overcome our problems and the [negative] view of society.

The governor plans to travel to Lafayette on Monday for an economic-development related announcement.

What we have here is another attempt to deflect attention from the opportunity we have to improve our highway infrastructure and our economy.

The governor wants to take every opportunity that he can to reach as many people as he can, certainly, in this important corridor.
