The girls want to be competitive and I let them set what they want to do. But if you asked them, they?d all say Final Four again.

I?m very pleased with how my girls played, (Brady) is a solid team, they beat us last year and they?re always one of the front-runners. They?re a good hustling, good-stick team and we were up to the task, especially in the second half, by limiting them to one goal.

It was a great team effort.

I like playing St. Thomas - they?re good. We like playing tough teams, and we were fortunate. I think the turning point was us scoring five goals at the end of the first half and beginning of the second. It gave us a little bit of breathing room.

We were able to find an opening in their zone by cutting through and hitting the open people. They were packing three people on the ball, which meant somebody had to be open. The girls did a nice job of finding the open girl.

We were a little behind in the first couple of innings. So I told the girls to be more aggressive. You're not going to get two buckets of balls (to hit) in a game, you're going to get three strikes and you're out. After the first two innings, we came on and got better.
