The girls stayed in there and they fought. I thought we hit the ball all over the place both games. In 6A ball, if you don't come and hit the ball, you can get beat by anybody. But we hit it well.

Miranda threw a very good ball game, but we hung in there against a good pitcher and had timely hits. Then Chelsea steps up and scores a run.

Lisa did her job again. They're going to get some hits because they're a good team, too. But she had good control. She always located. We never have to worry about her not hitting her spots.

Madison and Natalie played (Pickerington Central's girls twice during the regular season in singles. They won both, so we had a mental advantage over them. UA was the bigger match. I wasn't even worried about the finals. The UA match is the one we wanted because anytime you can beat UA, it's big.

That was a good match. The girls were down 5-0 in the first set before they woke up. I think the nerves settled in and they needed to settle down. They won three straight games, which made a difference. Even though they lost 6-3, the three straight wins got their confidence going.

The girls are staying mentally focused through the entire match and refusing to let a couple bad points or games destroy their confidence.
