The girls seem to work better as a team at this age.

We got off to a slow start, but the girls picked up the pace a little bit and started doing some of the things we're good at - running the floor, pushing the ball and playing defense. Hopefully, we'll do a better job Saturday night.

It's very empowering for girls to be asked their opinions about these issues. They have a lot to say and they don't always find adults who are willing to listen.

Here I am, at this age, and girls are coming to see me, jumping up and down.

For her to be able to do that at such a young age, she has such potential to become way bigger in the future. She has a lot of confidence at a young age, too, which is something that you really need being young. When you're younger you don't have that much confidence in what you do, but it's a good thing that she does. And she keeps her religion really close to her, so I think she's going to make it really far.

Girl Scouts is a learning experience. We're trying to show the girls that they should learn to do for others and not themselves.
