The free and civilized nations of the world have joined hands to press the first great struggle for justice of the 21st century -- the struggle to defy and defeat the forces of terrorism,

From this day forward, the benefits of any agreements we reach will flow only to those nations that abide by our democratic clause,

The Canadian people are with you, ... We have to work -- all the nations together -- to make sure that terrorism is destroyed.

The United Nations is a reflection of the world, ... We can only get as far as member states are prepared to go.

We know everything gets started with that press. If we can't make shots and get into the press, we struggle.

Perhaps there were a few million dollars that might have been stolen in the process. But how many millions of dollars have we saved because we have re-established the stability of Canada by keeping it a united country?
