The fishing is incredible. Getting gas, ice and bait is a problem. There is nowhere to launch, there is nowhere to stay.

We're very concerned. I don't think we're the problem. We want (the ramp and its availability for bass fishing) to be here for our kids and their kids. I'm heartbroken that they're going to close that ramp .... It's a very nice lake, and it's a shame what's happening.

Try ordering gas or boats or anything -- it's a bitch. That Roger, he can sweet talk anyone.

Every year, regardless of whether the timber industry is struggling or the fishing industry is struggling, one stable factor has always been this game. Economy-wise, we've been through more than our share of tough stretches, but this has always been something for the towns to rally around when times haven't been good.
