The finance committee has decided to accept either payment in full or payment programs, but the ultimate penalty would be to have their service discontinued until they bring their accounts up to date.

It wouldn't be unfair to say that not only is the horse out of the barn but Finance has no idea where the horse has gone.

If Finance was convinced it was a problem -- and it was being driven by inadequacy of the tax system -- it should have been dealt with couple of years ago,

If they don't (contact the borough), we're going to have to shut off their service.

We're trying to be fiscally responsible to the taxpayers, and there is $150,000 sitting out there that we've already paid to Waste Management. We're going to try to get some of that back.

The finance committee has been given authority to determine what to do as far as do we tap the reserves or make uniform proportionate cuts. We are looking at tapping the reserve as part of a possible solution.
