The festival is a non-profit organization. We are not funded by the county. It takes approximately 200 to 250 volunteers to put on the festival.

Most of the covered bridges have non-profit groups that adopt the bridge for the weekend. They sell light refreshments, our souvenirs and help people get from bridge to bridge.

We can only provide workers to non-profit organizations. We have about 13 people place in Crawford County right now but would like to see more organizations open their doors to our workers.

Our money was secured in 1999, ... It shouldn't have any effect.

Ashtabula County has 16 covered bridges, more than any other countyin the state of Ohio. We name our covered bridges for the road they are on.

The van tours only go to four bridges because it is impossible to get people to all 16 bridges in one day. There is a free, self-guided driving tour map that is available so people can drive the tour on their own. The driving tour signs are up all year long so you can drive the tour anytime of the year.
