The state troopers have been an incredible help to the family.

They talk to them about a wide range of things from family support groups to deployments and how to support their spouse.

I had tremendous family support, and I had the drive to say, 'I don't want to be strapped in a wheelchair all my life.' I lost my legs in February and played my first nine holes of golf that June.

It's great to have that kind of family support.

If you want to relocate to be closer to family, that's great, you're moving closer to your support system. But be realistic. If you have a strong reason to move, then do it. But it might take a temporary setback in your career.
