The family that prays together, stays together.

Twelve-year-olds aren't supposed to be in handcuffs.

It took a lot of praying, listening, understanding and knowing that the day was going to come. Everything is all right. This is great.

What I thought was fun was partying and smoking a little. It took me awhile to realize I had to become a parent and not just be a mom in title only.

We also send cards to acknowledge illnesses, births and deaths in the family. One officer who was out on leave for a while told me how much it meant to him that he got a card from us and that we were thinking of him during that time.

It's still an investigation so we can identify him, give it some closure and inform possible family members so he can receive a proper burial.
