The family is relieved that this man is off the streets and feels that the community is finally safe from him after three decades of terror.

We are encouraged that the legal system is working to protect the community.

We are the canary in the mineshaft. What we have to look at is our whole agriculture community. You know, rural life and everything like that. What is it worth?

It was nice to see how this small little community came together with just a couple of people doing a few little things and the outpouring, just phenomenal.

The family are obviously very happy that this matter has been settled and they have something to show for it … a trust has been established to manage the funds and give them guidance as it's a significant sum of money.

I look forward to serving the community and getting out there and practicing community policing.
