The end result is that they sent me a bill for $31,000 due on Oct. 8 which is a weird day to pick because the city office is closed. I don't have $31,000, so I filed for bankruptcy.

They are saying that I am the same as a landlord. They said I should have been collecting taxes for the past six or seven years. I said, 'show me the city code that applies,' and they couldn't.
