The end justifies the means only when the means used are such as actually bring about the desired and desirable end.

The ends justifies the means

To me faith means not worrying.

A means can be justified only by its end. But the end in its turn needs to be justified.

The end never justifies the means if someone is hurt in the process.

All desirable things... are desirable either for the pleasure inherent in themselves, or as a means to the promotion of pleasure and the prevention of pain.
