The egocentric person is always enthusiastic about getting behind - or involved - in a cause, an issue or a movement as long as the focus is on him and what he himself as an individual is doing to help. However, the minute the focus shifts back to the cause, issue or movement itself, then the egoist is no longer interested in helping or being involved, hence confirming a hypocrisy that his help was never about the cause itself.
