The eating disorder is a very jealous and abusive partner. It requires a lot of devotion in the extent that you have to devote yourself to tending to the anorexia. There's not a lot of time left over for adult life.

One of the characteristic features is quite often this profoundly negative self-assessment. It doesn't jive in any way with what you see in their lives.

The disorder got in my mind and said, you know, things like 'If she hangs up the phone one more time, I'm going to break something,' ... and so, to me, it all seemed perfectly logical.

Ripon really put us in disorder with their press. A lot of intensity and ball pressure caused way too many turnovers.

What makes BPD different from any other personality disorder is that your anger and impulsiveness -- acting out, kicking over a chair -- only happens when you're dealing with people you really love. If it's somebody you don't care about, who cares?

We threw two knockout punches at them and they kept coming. I was pleased with our guys because I felt this was a different type of game than we have had. Our kids battled and were tough and figured out a way to get it done at the end. I am really proud of them.
