The cookbook was meant as a fundraiser to help us with construction costs of the chapel. And we can almost say it's the chapel the cookbook built, because it's helping us so much in that regard. Everything we're doing is to try to save the cemetery, everything we're doing … is with the hope that more people will come to and visit and appreciate it.

We appreciate what they did for us. We just thank God that there's people out there who try to help others.

This woman was chronically sick and her family called us for help during the storm, but we couldn't put a vehicle on the roads, ... After the winds died down, there was no way to get to her because Highway 15 where she lived was blocked by fallen trees.

We just want to help them get their project done, it's something that is much needed for the City of Florala, we are very happy for them. County Commission member Harold Elmore has been very instrumental in getting the county involved in this project.

The evidence is overwhelming that even simple changes can be a big help and have a huge cumulative impact. If every American switched just three light bulbs to compact fluorescent bulbs, it would be the equivalent of taking 3.5 million cars off the road. If everyone switched to a car with five miles-per-gallon better mileage, that would be equal to the taking another 150 million automobiles off the roads. Individual actions add up to big changes.

While we didn't do it because we were trying to help another couple, we were trying to get pregnant and have a family ourselves. The aspect of being able to help another couple finish off their in-vitro fertilization process and have those embryos get another chance, made it super for us.
