The changes for next year will be good and it is encouraging for the bigger picture of Formula One.

Alonso's move was certainly very interesting, particularly in terms of its timing. I think the formula one driver market in 12 months' time will be more fluid than at any time over recent years. It will be fascinating to see how it all works out.

We'll do it again next year. We're hoping to make it bigger and better every year.

The size of the challenge ahead is not to be underestimated but it's one that I'm sure he's going to throw himself fully into.
