The carnation is a good symbol for a broad and open Left Party, which brings together the multitude of international branches which we are the expression of here in Sweden.

Reagan is a symbol who calls the party to be something broader. The Republican Party is in many ways a very disunited party. In a way, by making Reagan a greater figure, you can create a greater unity.

There's been a reluctance in the government to be dependent on the Danish People's Party, and they are interested in freeing themselves of that tie.

The Danish People's Party has been able to tell people, just look, we were right all along.
