The best thing is that Bill might share some of these entries with other directors and producers. So it gives students a chance to build contacts as well.

Everything is free and open to the public, and it's important that people know this. One thing we're doing differently is allowing the audience to pick their favorites. There will be papers and pencils distributed at the end of the festival. We don't know what the prize will be, but there will be one.

In Puerto Rico everybody is so excited because they have not seen so many big-league players before. The Latin American countries take a lot of pride in baseball being the national sport. They want to see this because this is so unique. In the United States there are so many games and there is a team in every city.

You know, I've always tried to look at things as just what the part was. I never tried to worry about whether it was the lead or not the lead, because I think you can really mess your mind up when you're too caught up in those things.

If I die tomorrow, I've done the two hardest things anybody can do in this life with the least amount of security - music and acting - and I've had success in both. I can't really complain. I try not to live my life that way.

I acted when I was a real little kid. My mother was an actress in a Miami theater company comprised of actors from Cuba like her and I was the default kid.
