The benefit of film is that you're shooting something for an intense period of time - and then it's over, and you move on to something else. In TV, you're doing the same thing over and over.

The challenge of film is making it right there at that moment, and then you get to move on.

There's something about the schedule of working in TV that's attractive. You know exactly what the next six months is going to be like: You'll work Monday through Friday and have the weekends off, and then there's going to be a hiatus here, so you can kind of plan a little bit.

If you're not having fun - I don't care what you're doing - don't do it. Move on. Find something else, life's too short.

People call me a perfectionist, but I'm not. I'm a rightist. I do something until it's right, and then I move on to the next thing.

TV happens. And once it's happened, it's gone. When it's gone, you move on, no tears, no tantrums, no videotape.
