The bats woke up a little bit in the second game but we are not a team that can wait until the fifth inning to start hitting. It needs to stay consistent throughout the game so we can have time to see what the pitcher throws.

They woke up in the second game. That was the difference between game one and two. They hit the ball in both games, we just hit it in the second.

[It] definitely was a series that is going to help our concentration and momentum. Even in the loss, the team can see that they are capable of coming back and beating anyone.

I think we woke them up a little bit by doing that.

We just have to be, not just a little bit, but a lot better in the passing game than we've done in the past. It's going to get to the point where we're going to have to be a lot better.

We didn't come out flat. They came out and swung the bats well. How can a team come out flat when we know what's on the line? It's Sept. 21 and we're 11/2 games out. They jumped out on us and never let up. They kept their foot on our neck and never let us breathe.
