The Army game was just a difficult game to play. It was a consolation game with just flies in the building. I don't think either team wanted to be there, but we battled them and gutted it out. [Army] played well and made it difficult for us, but we found a way to win.

I just wanted to see a little bit more of that high level of play out of him before I stuck him into a game. Any game was going to be a tough game. This was an especially tough game. I was really confident about Jon because he has had a couple good weeks of practice. I knew his rhythm was back, his timing was back and his focus was back. I was not surprised. I knew he was ready.

It was a great play by Matt Anderson knocking the puck down and finding Davis on a quick transition. I didn't expect to see that move from Chris to be honest with you. It was a nifty, backhand, five-hole dribble. I hope he's got a few more tricks up his sleeve.

We were totally dissatisfied and, quite honestly, really upset about the outcome of the game. I think the guys took that attitude to UNH [the following night] and played as well as we could possibly play on the road against that type of an opponent, and we found a way to win.

We're a pretty good skating team. We have to be able to anticipate extremely well, and we have to put ourselves in a position where we don't hurt ourselves around the rink. If we're caught out of position and we're giving up speed to boot, then we're at a distinct disadvantage.

We've got to remain on target and take care of detail, but at the same time you can't expend yourself at practices and not have anything left for the weekend.
