The Americans have no right to pontificate -- they who organized at Lake Placid, Atlanta and Salt Lake City the most controversial, if not the worst, Olympics in history.

Right now, the sad fact is that too many Americans are working harder and harder and earning less and less. Under George W. Bush , the typical working family has seen its income fall by nearly $1,500 annually, ... As incomes have fallen, expenses have gone up -- way up.

There is really nobody to communicate with right now on this issue, because Americans are not plugged into it. I think Americans feel one or two steps removed from the Supreme Court, particularly when the confirmation process hasn't started. But as you get closer to the hearing and the vote, the volume on this thing is going to ramp way up.

Americans believe that gays and lesbians have a right to live as they choose, but they don't have a right to redefine marriage for our entire society. Americans want our laws to send a positive message to children about marriage, family, and their future.
