The air field has been important to us and the U.S. allies in operations over there.

The leadership of the Defense Department is OK. The secretary is OK.

We appreciate what the commission has done. It's a tough job and it's a good step towards ensuring that the final recommendations increase the efficiency and effectiveness of our military structure.

The bottom line is we'll begin to carefully review the commission's recommendations, but we have no further comment at this time.

We haven't finished our analysis, and so it's too soon to say what the secretary will recommend.
