That was the story of the game. They were hitting two shots to our one. We didn't rebound worth a flip, and they doubled us on rebounding.

We're not very big inside with the exception of maybe Cotton. We've handled that before, and we look forward for an opportunity to handle it again.

This is a good group of sophomores. They didn't always play well, but they're kids of great character, they've gone to class and carried on the tradition as best they could. I'd like to tell them thanks for being here the two years they've been here. It's been pretty good.

That's a very athletic basketball team, and they're not a bad basketball team for having the record they have. They're just in a league that's pretty loaded right now. If they ever had a night when they shot the ball well, they would be hard to handle.

Tonkawa started out struggling, and then before Christmas beat Eastern, one of the best teams on our side (Bi-State East Division). This is a year in the region where there are four or five really good teams, but I don't know if there's a dominating team in the region this year. It's going to make for some interesting games.

That just tells you how far we've come in (about) a month. A lot of it was mental as much as it was physical. A lot of it was buying into a system. If everybody buys into it, it works, and we're getting better at it every day.
