That was a fun environment. It had to be a huge difference for us. The kids ... used that energy to try to ratchet up our intensity to keep our focus.

It's not a fun feeling, especially in this kind of environment where the more a home team gets up, the harder it is to come back. We were making mistakes in the first half and really didn't make too many in the second half. We just tried to go out and score as many points as possible.

I told the kids that if you think that's a fun environment, wait until next month. I can't wait until (playoff) season.

We need to make sure as a state we are devoting the energy and resources to make kids grow up healthy and successful.

It's a fun deal for our kids. It's one of our fund-raisers that we do. We'll present the varsity kids with their jerseys, and try to introduce all the kids and give them recognition. It kind of gets your season going a little bit.

Our kids were really down after the game, but I told them this is just the beginning of the fun part. We're not turning in our uniforms tomorrow. We have a lot of basketball to play.
