Team before me. That's the philosophy I've put into this team. With the guys back from last year, I feel that will rub off on the other players and will make us successful.

A lot of parents and other volunteers have stepped up bringing in supplies and running concessions.

Both guys put in a lot of time volunteering because they love the sport, and I'm thankful for their help.

Trey is something special. He (Young) can play a lot of positions on the field, can hit the ball well and is a kid with a good head on his shoulders. Trey is a very team oriented guy.

Eli will be our captain. It's a big responsibility for him to take the leadership role, but so far I think he has responded well.

The women's team dominance in the throws really set the tone for the squad. For the most part the distance and mid-distance athletes trained through our meet, so I was pleasantly surprised by some of the results.
