Surely the President realizes that the moment a man steps foot on the moon will be a definitive one in the history of the world.

In a very real sense, it will not be one man going to the moon it will be an entire nation. For all of us must work to put him there.

We will build new ships to carry man forward into the universe, to gain a new foothold on the moon and to prepare for new journeys to the worlds beyond our own.
