Students walking out continuously to make a point is not as effective as if they would organize and write in to their local congressmen. At this point I would say continuing to march is overkill. They've made their point, so let's get back to studying and learning.

I'll support what they're doing if it's for the right reason and if they're doing it with dignity. But I can't (support) anything that deviates from that.

It's kind of a split personality (within registered Hispanic voters). Those who went through immigration ? where they actually felt what it was like ? have sympathy, whereas the next generation who were born and raised in the U.S. buy into the media bias that (immigrants) take more than they give.

You'd have your head in the sand if you didn't recognize that there are students who come here from countries that sponsor terrorism.

We started rehearsing this backwards ... so that once the students were on the spot, they would be more confident with that.

It's going to be a packed gym. They'll probably have their band playing on the stage, all of their students will be there and it will be a hostile crowd, but our kids enjoy that. It's going to be a lot of fun.
