Stern was not fully fit when he came to us and we are trying to get him match fit,

He came in here a little fired up trying to get us going. He knew they were giving it to us on the glass and scoring transition points. We knew if we got back on defense, they couldn't get that many good looks and that really helped us out.

The next generation is trying to make a difference. Most of the people helping us out (at the road race) are people who have lost a parent.

It depends on what they are. We had some guys trying to get off blocks and the (opposing) guy spun and we got called for something. Some holds may get called or they may not. All in all, the penalties jumped up and got us at the worst times. We'll address that.

We've had trouble scoring runs this season, period, ... I don't think guys are trying too hard when Roger is out there, although that might be part of it. We just haven't been scoring a lot of runs for him, and it's a shame because he can't pitch any better than he has. He has just been unbelievable.

They are doing it incrementally, which is the smarter way to do it. In the 1990s we saw people trying to leap straight to orbit. But by doing it incrementally the venture capitalists can see you in action, and you can develop a track record and reputation—that's better than sliding a piece of paper in front of them and asking for $100 million.
