People need to know there are good things happening. Unfortunately, people are going to read about Joe Horn pulling out the cell phone or Kobe Bryant [accused of sexual assault]. And it feeds on itself. People talk about it because it is so bad for our society. And people tend to believe athletes are so bad and so self-centered.

Too many people try to put these championships on a par with the world championships or the Olympics but they are not -- never have been, never will be.

A lot of people stepped up, made some sacrifices and helped out (the Katrina victims). But man, the way society is, we move on to the next issues so quickly. It's left up to us to maintain it, to keep the ball rolling in the right direction... They still need help. It's not like it's just over and done with.

The massive lump of flesh that has created you, me, and maybe, animals, everything that has life will forever live.

I've had people swing at me, ... I've had people faint on me. I had one man, he just kept pushing me. He just wanted to make sure he wasn't having a dream.
