South Dakota State does not discuss employment issues. There's no reason to for any conjecture. We don't have public debate about anything.

We've taken the position that both conferences know South Dakota State University. It is their decision, and we're going to respect that.

You can be on one side of town in a metro area, and it would take you more than 48 minutes to get from one side to the other.

We would be a strong member in any conference that would see fit to have us. We'd be very honored to have that opportunity. (The Mid-Con) has institutions that are like ours. We will watch carefully.

How this will affect anything for us is ultimately up to the Mid-Con. I don't think we're going to assume anything.

They are changing the climate of the debate. There is no reason why we shouldn't have this debate ... but it is making some people (in Western Europe) a little nervous.
