Something that I believe is a cool thing is that all the kids that participate are all winners. They will be given a goodie bag from the Kid Fish organization.

It took about a week to pull the proposal together. We were trying to get everything out at the same time the city had to evacuate (for Hurricane Rita).

This is our business, ... At the end of the day, these are our kids.

A lot of our clientele are boomers who are homeowners and as the kids get older and they have more time to spend as they want to, people are finding gardening as a hobby in their 40s and 50s.

The kids are nervous and the mentor is nervous, because they are meeting someone they don't know who is theoretically going to be important in their lives.

These kids really need someone else, a mentor, to do things with, to get them out, away from the ever-present face of AIDS.
