Since we have to speak well of the dead, let's knock them while they're alive.

And do not speak of those who are slain in Allah's way as dead; nay, (they are) alive, but you do not perceive.

We are going to take them out dead or alive.

know if they are alive or dead.

Unbeing dead isn't being alive.

Dead, but not allowed to die. Alive, but as good as dead.
