Since the IU alum [Michael Harris Chancellor IUK]joined the regional campus in 2010, after spending 20 years at various Michigan colleges, Harris has been on a mission to create and promote “innovative, entrepreneurial and cutting-edge programs” to help achieve that ultimate goal of more students graduating within four years.

We’re not going to accept the status quo. We have to increase degree attainment and doing so in a timely manner.

IU Kokomo has always focused on giving students a well-rounded education in the liberal arts, but that has been a detriment to some of the students focusing in the hard sciences. When Chancellor Michael Harris came to the campus, it was one of the first things he recognized.
