Sienna glanced surreptitiously toward a rapier mounted on the wall.
Odyssia grinned. “Do you want to run me through, Sienna? Go on, take it. You’re welcome to try.”
The young woman groaned in frustration. She didn’t know – and couldn’t have known – that the rapier in question was bolted to the wall.

The forest smelled fresh here and the ground was soft, carpeted by leaves and fallen pine needles. It was tranquil and enchanting in its way. Ursula was lovely; she just wasn’t a naiad. Her hair was dark and sleek, and so long it fell below her waist, swaying this way and that as she walked. Her eyes were a piercing blue, always aware, and she had a keen eye for the smallest details.
