Shriners opened their first hospital in 1923. Our main objective is to provide orthopedic and burn care to underprivilaged children.

The transportation money provides a ride, lodging and meals for children who need to go to our hospitals in Shreveport and Galveston.

We're going to do what it takes to serve these children, ... We're going to try to make a very chaotic period in their lives as transitional as possible.
