She was a great mother and a great grandmother.

What a great way [it was] to honor my mother and my future child's grandma.

We will do whatever is within our powers to try and get rid of this disease for all of our friends and family...[s]o that our friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers will never have to know what it's like to be so young without a mom to go to for advice or a simple hug.

You could already tell a week after our wedding...it took a lot out of her.

[I] still had many years that I would have loved to spend with my mom...Our kids have never had the chance to know her nor did she ever get to hold and love them.

Particularly with a mother and a new infant, you want to be able to keep that bond strong through the course of treatment. What we do know is that we have to work especially hard to find specialized treatment programs that address the needs of mothers and children.
