She learned to rejoice in the chaos, for without the darkness she would be blind to the light.

And underneath the harvest moon she hummed the tune of a distant lullaby, reminding her the heart was nothing more than a setting sun preparing for a glowing consummation.

She thrived from chaos, embraced every high and every low. It was the only way she knew how to live. And perhaps, just maybe, she understood more about life than they ever could.

She was reminiscent of a first autumn leaf, patiently waiting to surrender herself to the cooling earth. For she knew without change growth was impossible, and without transformation she would never reach her intended destination.

And although she had been broken, shattered beyond repair, to me she had transformed to mosaic. A beautiful array of mismatched pieces, perfectly placed back together again.

Some let life's storms tarnish them, but she was different. Even the most vehement downpour could not break her spirit. She saw it as an opportunity to be cleansed, to rise again glowing radiantly in a tainted world.
