Sex-Crime Panic. The majority of these guys found their freedom and a way to exist openly as part of the sexual revolution.

I certainly was one of the instigators in the 1960s of freedom of expression.

It used to be if someone over 18 had sex with someone under 18, it was a sex crime. The law now states that if you are person under 23 and they have sex with someone over 16, it's legal.

We are sending out a loud and clear message to predators that if you commit a sex crime here or anywhere else you will be caught and convicted.

This trial is the perfect intersection of sex, crime and celebrity. It makes it very much one-of-a-kind for the media.

The great majority of these persons appear to have been arrested for exercising their right to freedom of peaceful assembly or expressing their political opinion.
